3M Belgium is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer for his manufacturing in Zwijndrecht
In the next coming months we will start up the Recruitment and Selection process for this vacancy. Therefore, we already want to reach out to interested engineers.
Your main responsibilities are:
Getting specialized in EHS related processes on site with main focus on environmental aspects and impacts within assigned area of responsibility.
Initiating and completing activities leading to new or improved EHS processes which have significant impact potential at a program or project level within the assigned area of responsibility.
Participation and leading environmental projects and programs in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
You are part of the EHS team and work on implementation of common EHS programs.
More specific you:
Lead element audits or assessments and collect and report data and metrics
Complete routine internal or external EHS compliance/conformance (with legislation, 3M guidelines) reports and associated data and communicate and implement changes within organization.
Lead investigations of minor EHS incidents, or participate with others on teams to address incidents;
Assist facilities in GEMSA (Global Environmental Management) program development and in time with Global Safety and Health Plan (GSHP) program development
Provide EHS input to Life Cycle Management/New Product Introduction processes.
Provide engineering/scientific support when needed in such areas as EHS regulatory interpretation and EHS considerations for Management of Change.
Coordinate EHS projects in your area of responsibility in close cooperation with 3M Corporate, CoE, MRD and Governmental parties.
Are actively involved in maintaining and internally auditing the ISO 14001 system.
Continuously look for optimization of EHS processes in cooperation with manufacturing functions and facilitate their optimal integration and implementation into the organization.
Are actively involved in EHS training and sensibilisation programs.
Keep EHS databases up to date and improve where possible
What is your profile?
You are a Bio-, Chemical or Environmental Engineer
You are prepared to follow specialized EHS training or you have an additional training in this area.
Experience in chemical production and an environmental background is a plus.
You are ‘problem-solving’ minded and looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.
You speak Dutch and English and you have the necessary computer skills.
You have good social, organizational and technical skills and you are analytical.
This position is also open for graduates.
