Tasks:

The IT Support Engineer’s day-to-day activities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Follow-up, troubleshooting and maintenance of the data/security/VOIP networks

  • Able to communicate well in English

  • Focus on remote support

  • Supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Client OS’s

  • Technical fault analysis and troubleshooting

  • Administration of network user accounts in an Active Directory Environment

  • Ongoing system management duties including; Backups, patch distribution

  • Gathering data and preparing reports

  • Undertaking project work and research when required

  • Providing technical support to users

  • Provision end-user systems

  • Administration of user accounts and mailboxes in Microsoft Office 365

  • Supporting desktop applications, including Microsoft Office

  • Developing documentation, including user guides

  • Follow the change control standards so that all changes are within the documented policy

  • Receiving work via Helpdesk Systems

  • Working with all levels of employee including upper management and temporary employees

Expectations:

  • College, University degree or relevant experience

  • 1-3 years experience in user support in multinational environment is an advantage

  • Knowledge of virtualized environments such as VMware and Hyper-V

  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Server environments, from Server 2003 – 2016, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP and GP from design to implementation and support is a must

  • Have good general knowledge of networking technology including load balancing, switching, routing, wifi and firewalls

  • Have a general knowledge of SAN Storage Technologies,

  • Have general knowledge of Cloud Hosting technologies such as Microsoft Azure

  • Have excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer

  • General understanding of network components and computer settings

  • Good communication skills and Fluent English language knowledge is a MUST

  • Ability to work in a virtual or distributed team setting

Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner, which means the employee will possess sufficient technical abilities as described above; possess good written and oral communication skills; maintain clean and organized work areas; and work as an integral part of the IT team
