This is the Role:

You are responsible for executing the business strategy at the customer level by enabling customer success and optimizing volume, revenue, and value-add growth for Eastman Crop Protection. To effectively accomplish this, the you must prioritize efforts across your territory by preparing a Territory Management Plan to organize face-to-face meetings with key contacts. You generate demand through discovery to uncover unmet needs, articulate compelling customer value propositions and develop account strategies which align with the business strategies of Eastman Crop Protection.

  • You develop market knowledge and a network for your region, you analyze the market, screen potential clients, evaluate competition in order to enhance the Eastman Crop Protection business.

  • You cultivate a network of relationships across the value chain and within the customer organization beyond procurement (e.g. Technology, Senior Leadership, Marketing, etc.) to develop new business.

  • You recommend channels of distribution and you advise on pricing and terms and conditions of sales. You identify potential customers in the sales zone and develop a commercial approach to reach them.

  • You present Eastman Crop Protection to clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.

  • You are responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting and actively and successfully manage the sales process.

  • You liaise intensively with the Eastman Sales manager, Customer Sales Representatives (CSR), Technology and Marketing to lead and drive growth projects.

  • You use corporate systems and processes and tools such as Salesforce.com (SFDC) and sales forecasting to communicate with the wider internal organization.

This position can be either home office based or in Eastman Ghent (Belgium) office, but you will be expected to spend a significant amount of your time out of the office, visiting clients and prospects in your region.

You are a result oriented Sales professional with a relentless drive and a bias for action. As our customers first point of contact you will interface with different stakeholders and cultures. Furthermore, you bring a highly-developed commercial acumen, technical capabilities, contracting experience and strong communication and collaboration skills

This is what you bring:

You have at least five years of experience in Sales and Marketing in Crop Protection in an international B2B environment, dealing both with direct sold to customers and with distributors.

  • Education: preferably BSc or MSc in Agronomy.

  • Excellent knowledge of English, German. Knowledge of Eastern European languages are helpful.

  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time

  • You possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for Eastman Crop Protection are captured and explored.

  • You conduct business with the highest Eastman Crop Protection standard of integrity, in compliance with local and international law.
