As the Corporate Income Tax Specialist, you are responsible for the management and execution of all activities related to tax advice, transfer pricing, tax compliance and tax accounting in Belgium. You will be a key player in the regional tax team and function in a multi-national environment. As the Corporate Income Tax Specialist, you will be involved in a wide range of tax advice, tax compliance and accounting issues for the Belgian Cargill Group. In addition, ad hoc projects can be assigned to the Corporate Income Tax Specialist.

Major Tasks

  • You independently provide tax advice to the businesses on tax law changes and business transactions including reorganizations, integrations, Mergers & Acquisitions, financing and supply chain planning.

  • You have a deep knowledge of tax legislation but also a good understanding of the business. You will need to provide pragmatic, though correct solutions that will add value to the business.

  • You ensure compliance with all legal and transfer pricing requirements: outline and propose strategic solutions in line with legislation.

  • You independently manage the tax reporting process under US GAAP and prepare the tax disclosures for the BE GAAP statutory accounts. You assist in the preparation of the BE GAAP statutory accounts.

  • You independently prepare corporate tax returns, tax forecasts and tax payments for the Belgian Group.

  • You provide assistance and support in relation to all direct tax audits and enquiries. The Country Tax Manager will lead tax audits and enquiries, but you will actively participate in the audit exercise. This implies that you will prepare answers to audit questions and will – together with the Country Tax Manager – liaise with the tax authorities.


  • University graduate/Bachelor.

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in Belgian corporation tax .

  • Affinity with corporate business

  • Ability to manage tax compliance cycle including preparation of Belgian tax returns, tax forecasts, payments of account.

  • Knowledge of transfer pricing and experience with solving transfer price issues

  • Tax planning including R&D tax reliefs and loss utilization.

  • Strong communication skills in (spoken and written) Dutch and English (French is a plus).

  • You are able to work independently.

  • You have experience in dealing with tax audits and providing tax advice to non-specialists.
