HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

This role provides strategic Operational and Procurement oversight for a set of Contract Manufacturing Supplier relationships (Coman’s). It is often referred to as a Relationship Manager role.

You will be the single point of contact representing Kellogg with the Coman. This role develops the relationship and provides strategic direction and serves as the escalation point between the two organizations.

As such, this role aligns with and guides Business Unit expectations regarding key operational and procurement short and long term strategies to drive to sustainable, predictable Supply Chain for Innovation and ongoing production.

Lead with us as you interface with, provide direction to, and leverage other key functions to accomplish this mission including liaison with Global Contract Manufacturing Platform owners to support, execute, and drive expectations related to Global Strategy.

You will be responsible for Managing Operational, key and occasionally strategic relationship and assist in relationship strategy development and drive it’s implementation.

As a Co-Man Manager, you will deliver exceptional results for our business and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Director to develop and drive comprehensive strategy for the assigned food platforms and associated Coman locations.

  • Develop and maintain annual COP (cost of production) Budget for assigned locations.

  • Support assigned innovation from signed PDR1 stage through start up and into ongoing production.

  • Drive Operational Performance to ensure delivery of service, cost, quality and CI.

  • Act as the single point of contact to develop the relationship and the escalation point for issue resolution.

  • Perform periodic Risk Assessment of assigned platforms and associated locations.

  • Ensure work streams follow standardized best practices and comply with legal and internal audit expectations.

  • Where assigned platform/locations are considered part of a larger global platform, provide visibility, support, and assist in development/implementation of the Global Strategy as it exists within your region.

  • Apply SRM system to assigned locations twice per year.

  • Where appropriate support Kellogg Supplier Diversity Goals for both tier I & II spend.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Master Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (i.e. Business, Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain) plus significant experience in Supply Chain or related areas.

  • Strong leadership, planning skills.

  • Demonstrated strong communications with some negotiation skills are required.

  • Must have a developing track record and ability to work with all levels of management within Kellogg’s and with external manufacturing companies.

Preferred:

  • Intermediate understanding of supplier relationship management.

  • Manufacturing, engineering and/or RQT experience coupled with a developing financial understanding of what drives success in the business.
