The prime purpose of the Reliability Engineer position is to identify the pro-active maintenance requirements for assets to increase plant productivity while reducing cost. This will be achieved through actions to compile and update the site criticality assessment, evaluate Preventive Maintenance (PM) / Preventive Maintenance (PdM) results and review the programme to ensure appropriate deployment of strategies.
Regularly reviews PM/PdM programme to ensure all failure modes are addressed.
You will coordinate all PdM efforts on site to measure and secure an upward trend of the Asset Health.
You will establish a systematic PM/PdM review process with support from the Planner to ensure the effectiveness of the existing PM/PdM program.
You will support the work preparation process and Planner to ensure job plans are prepared that effectively explain the correct proactive tasks.
You will support cross functional improvement teams
You will conduct/coordinate training in PdM technologies/issues for (new) personnel to maintain the PdM process and personnel up to date.
Establish, by Failure Mode and Effects Analysis or similar method, appropriate proactive strategies for asset care.
You will facilitate Reliability Centered Maintenance processes to define the correct maintenance strategy for assets to optimize performance.
You will determine the function, capability, functional failure modes, probability of failure, impact/severity and acceptable risk for assets to define maintenance requirements.
You will define the right maintenance requirements for all assets to prevent functional failures and their effects.
Build and maintain the site Criticality Assessment for all assets.
- Taking ownership of and leading / reviewing the Criticality Assessment of all assets, including new installations, to allow appropriate health measures to be defined.
Maximo key-user for the site.
Follow-up, correct and control the maximo set-up for Izegem
Create new identities, guard approval route, train new users
Create and follow-up of reports for Key Performance Indicator tracking
Critical Inventory optimization.
Responsible to identify critical spares and to ensure the right critical spares are available when needed
Identify pro-active work to preserve condition of critical spares to ensure critical spares are in good condition when needed.
Providing location procurement support
With some oversight of more senior procurement / strategic sourcing professionals, coordinate the execution of more complex activities and the alignment and implementations of the strategic sourcing strategy across the sourcing lifecycle
Local contact for strategic sourcing to provide more detailed, in depth plant information and ensure plant purchasing plan is aligned
Responsibility for relationship management for the local suppliers, develop and leverage existing local supplier partnerships
Reporting on value captured at local level.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge.
Knowledge of Maintenance process and activities.
Good computer skills.
Fluent verbal and written English.
Understanding operating context of site assets / process systems
Basic knowledge applicable PdM technologies such as: Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra-Red, Ultra Sound, and Motor Circuit Evaluation
Conversant with Root Cause Failure Analysis.
Conversant with Reliability Centered Maintenance/Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Develop and conduct trainings/toolboxes (concerning P(d)M Maintenance).
Ability to organize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks.
Able to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
