The Process Engineer/Project Manager analyses customer process user requirements specification for engineered process equipment (including different technologies such as mixing, bioreactors, storage systems etc.) used in biotech processes. He/She takes ownership and is the technical lead from the initial customer enquiry phase until final sign of the project.The Process Engineer/Project Manager provides technical support to sales and customers regarding Pall’s Biotech product line. * Responsible for the detailed technical process clarification (technology selection, sizing, design testing etc.) together with the customer on requested equipment; * Responsible for the technical elaboration of the engineered equipment solution. Writing technical proposal and costing for the proposed solution for quotation building; * Coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFI) from customers regarding single use systems and configure single use system designs; * Take over the responsibility and ownership for the proposed equipment solution during project execution with a multidisciplinary team (establishment of project plan, coordination of project team, progress reporting and cost control) to ensure delivery of the project, on time, on budget and to the quality standards expected by our customers; * Coordinate technical elaboration of detail design (including mechanical, electrical and functional specification and configuration of as a base for the process coding, etc.); * Responsible for the technical documentation in accordance to the specification for the project; * Execute and coordinate all qualification activities included in the project (pre-FAT, SAT); * Assist customers in their qualification and validation activities if requested; * Respect current pharmaceutical standards applicable for the project such as ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, ISPE guidelines and work in accordance to our established quality management system; * Answer technical questions from customers and the sales team about Pall ‘s Single Use product line (Bioreactors, Mixers, Bioprocess Vessels and Manifold Systems).
* Minimum a Master's degree in Engineering, (Biochemical, Process Engineering, Biotechnology,…) or equivalent by experience. A Bachelor degree in a related subject would be an advantage; * First experience of process engineering / project engineering of equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing; * Experience in the design and engineering of process equipment ; * Experience on working on projects in multicultural environment; * Experience of working with outside subcontractors including mechanical fabricators, electronic fabricators, Software designers and automation experts; * Experience in qualification activities (FAT/SAT) for process equipment in the biopharmaceutical industry; * Direct experience of working in the Biotech industry would be an advantage; * Broad technical interest, good organizational skills and time management; * Understanding of Biotech Processes and Knowledge of the European Biotech market is an asset; * Proficiency in MS Office; * Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages is a plus; * Ability to review and comment customer URS for Biotech equipment, and evaluate possible technologies or designs to meet customer requirements; * Knowledge and understanding of the current industry guidelines for designing, manufacturing, testing and documenting biopharmaceutical process equipment (ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, ISPE, etc.); * Project management experience for the execution of system projects in accordance to the defined specifications, time schedule and cost; * Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team with a high degree of travelling; * Ability to communicate effectively on complex technical / engineering issues at the highest level.
