EMEA Leaderfor Product Approval & Advocacy
This role will be responsible for insights, strategies, plans and actions designed to support positive regulatory outcomes and drive business results for the company in EMEA. It will proactively advocate for regulatory approvals and product support, as well as drive the development of regulatory frameworks for timely and science-based product approvals. This position is based in Brussels and reports directly to the Global Leader for Product Approval & Advocacy.
Will be responsible for insights,strategies, plans and actions designed to support positive regulatory outcomesand drive business results.
Will develop and implement advocacyplans in coordination with different functions at European and national level.
Will proactively advocate forregulatory approvals and product support, as well as help drive the developmentof regulatory frameworks for timely and science-based product approvals.
Will support both Crop Protectionand Seeds Business Platforms.
PoliticalInsight and Expertise
Will identify, analyse andcommunicate policy developments relevant to the current and future regulatorysuccess of company’s portfolio.
Will help shape a supportivepolitical environment.
Will contribute political assessmentand strategic advice on innovation, with a focus on the EU.
Stakeholderand Institutional Engagement
Will conduct stakeholderassessments, and plan and implement engagement strategies supporting company’sFreedom to Operate.
Will contribute towards theprioritization and engagement of trade associations in alignment with companygoals. Will represent the company in trade associations as appropriate.
Will advocate for the interests ofinternal and external stakeholders to seek new and innovative approaches forcommon-ground solutions.
Will represent the company in frontof policy-makers and other stakeholders.
Will drive campaigns at both EU andMS level.
Will work closely within partnerswithin the External Affairs function.
Will be a Business partnercollaborating with Business leaders to help drive and enhance product supportand success.
Will be close partner to RegionalRegulatory Program Leaders to support timely approval of specific technologies.
Will coordinate with relevantfunctions both at the country, regional and global level.
Willengage with the Regional Leadership to help deliver the priority work programs
BS or BA preferably in relatedfield; advanced degree is highly desirable.
Experience in a multinationalcorporation or association focused on innovative sectors and/or food andagriculture sectors is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of how governmentofficials develop and implement policy with the ability to analyze governmentpolicy/legislation and advocate corporate positions before senior policymakers, legislative staff, and the executive administration.
Demonstrated ability to strategicallycultivate, manage, and utilize key stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrated ability to partnerwith government entities to collaborate and secure incentives to operate andinnovate.
Demonstrated ability to buildpartnerships and coalitions across value chain entities to advance commonpolicy objectives.
Able to work effectively inmulti-functional and multi-cultural environment, and in a team setting.
Able to build and sustain extensivenetwork of relationships (internal and external).
Strong advocacy skills and abilityto promote public policy positions.
Strong interpersonal, networking,and public speaking skills, with the confidence and credibility to act quickly,communicate effectively, and command respect of both internal and externalaudiences.
Fluency in English with strongwritten and oral communication skills.
