VF Corporation Sourcing Coordinator Jeanswear in Belgium

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Sourcing Coordinator to join our office in Bornem, Belgium. This role is responsible for all sourcing activities in factories assigned to him/her and related to product of the Jeanswear brands Lee & Wrangler intended for sale within the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute sourcing plans (short and long term), ensuring that brand targets are met with regards to quality, look, price (profitability) and on-time delivery of products

  • Partner with existing and/or new sourcing channels, to manage product and production including technical issues coming up

  • Supplier performance analysis for on-time performance/quality rejects/fill rate/order drop overview/customer returns and share with vendors

  • Make reallocation decisions in coordination with local offices

  • Make global versus local trim decisions with raw material/local offices/brand

  • Oversee larger testing and approval issues

  • Evaluate/Follow up/Enforce whether suppliers are in accordance with VF compliance, sustainability and responsible sourcing requirements

  • Make sure both jeans brands are in accordance with the latest labelling / textile regulations with support of Product stewardship / sustainability dept.

  • Establish control-related standards and procedures

  • Managing critical product alerts during CMS stage, with local offices and product development, to ensure issues solved before bulk sample / production stage

  • Negotiate constraints (lead time / minima / upcharges) before start of production

  • Manage Capacity booking with vendors in coordination with planning input

  • Review/ Negotiate production prices once production volume is allocated

  • Conducting analysis of prices across vendors/brands)

  • Give approval/negotiate upcharges on order level

  • Negotiate discounts on order level in case of product issues

  • Communicate with vendors on DC rejections & improvements required

  • Maintain the vendor manual up to date

  • Creating/coordinating production follow up reports using Brio / Cognos for management/local office availability

  • Influence colleagues in local offices operationally to ensure correct/structured communication with different internal departments and encourage/enforce proactive approach

  • Source / Negotiate Outlet production for price / delivery dates

Requirements

  • University degree in Management, Business or Textile Engineering. Technical apparel knowledge a must.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a supply chain function (preferably in a manufacturing / sourcing / contracting capacity in EMEA) acquired in an International Company in the apparel and fashion sector, and with a degree of complexity: significant size, multiple sourcing, own manufacturing, etc.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment interacting with all levels of seniority across different continents and with customers ranging from internal customers to external customers.

  • Fluent English is essential. Must be spoken and written to a professional level

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to filter out data and focus on the real business drivers that highlight opportunities.
