Job Description

The GBL MS Business Strategy & Sales team is the central team of GLB MS steering and coordinating the MS Business over all LBLs.

In order to move from a ‘technology push’ towards a ‘customer value’ approach for new solutions, the position of ‘Senior Market & Business Development Manager’ is being created. This role will focus on one hand on defining the value proposition of new solutions towards customers by meeting major customers to understand how the new solution addresses their needs and on the other hand on testing the value proposition with some key customers.

To achieve this target, the ‘Senior Market & Business Development Manager’ will cooperate closely with all relevant stakeholders (GBL MS Strategy, GBL MS Product Management, Sales, Marketing, …)


·Develop new lines of revenue by developing customer value proposition for new solutions or by opening up new markets for existing solutions

Role and Responsibilities


-All MS products, countries and new technologies are in scope

·Client Management

-Gain insight on how the new solutions will address the needs of our customers by having meetings & workshops (eg PSD2, retailer wallet, etc…)

-Validate the first iterations of a defined value proposition with selected customers

Take commercial leadership for strategic new customers (customers currently not managed by WL but having a big potential) as a first step,evaluate their needs and the necessary organization to put in place after confirmation of potential,

·Internal Organization

-Is a key member of the virtual/cross-functional teams working on the value proposition of new solutions/new markets, representing the ‘Voice of the Customer’

-Ensures timely and proper preparation value propositions of new solutions to existing customers and new value propositions of existing products to new market segments

-Maintain relation with the local account manager/sales teams to address questions of customers

-Transfer know-how to the sales organizations once the potential of new customers or new value propositions is confirmed

-Demonstrates leadership to the team and provides direction concerning the value proposition to get it aligned with the customer expectations

Job Requirements

Profile, experience and skills


-Strong industry knowledge

-Diploma: Master degree

-Technical Knowledge (high level) of MS solutions is required, or willingness to learn

-A previous experience in marketing, presales, sales or product management is certainly a plus

-Good writing and presentation skills

-Leadership: strategic thinking, vision with stakeholders

-Networking: internal networking to gain the trust of the sales teams

-Project management skills : internal negotiation on staffing & resources

-Time management skills: efficiency and able to meet deadlines and work with minimalsupervision.

-Personality & attitude: capability to interpret and deal with complex business relationships and manage multiple resources to deliver a strong value proposition

-Adaptability: eager and interested to learn about the newest technologies, continuous learning
