Job Description

Worldline is looking for an Operations & Applications Support Engineer to

join the Merchant Services - Second Line Support. We are looking for

experienced IT bachelors and masters, a motivating employment environment and a

wide variety of projects and clients to work for.

The Merchant Services - Second Line Support is providing high-quality technical assistance for the real-time payment authorization applications. We manage incidents, problems and changes reporting through a central queue of tickets. The main goal of the Service is to guarantee the availability, the robustness and efficiency of the applications in the production environment. We help to define the specific maintenance needed to be included in projects in order to keep our system powerful and upgraded. The division is concerned in giving assistance to the development team by a first deep analysis of the created incidents, then provide them the result of this first analysis and available informations (like logs) via a problem. We participate in the Risk Based Testing approach and in project or change analysis to improve the operability of our system.

People seeking careers as Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing commitment to a production team through communication, inspiration and motivation as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining all our products. Along with the primary responsibilities, the Application Support Engineer will be involved with the rest of the production support team members focussing online balancing and making necessary design improvements to eliminate unplanned downtime due to technical problems in order to achieve a maximum of productivity.

We are very interested in individuals who have a track record of finding creative solutions to unique and complex problems, and who will thrive in challenging situations. Having a high sense of responsibility, is one of your major qualities.

Daily incidents/problems management requires analytical and solution driven skills. You work both independently and in a team environment. As a team player you share your knowledge with your team members. You will supervise also off-shore teams.

You will demonstrate the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities. In the production environment you work organized, orderly, and flexible and you are willing to work outside the normal business hours on exceptional occasions. You are willing to work under high pressure and in these circumstances you stay calm and diplomatic in order to be as helpful as possible.

Application Support Engineer may be required, after practical training, to be on-call on a rotating basis throughout the year to provide a workaround to solve incidents. This entry level engineering position gives you the experience and knowledge of our production authorization system and allows you the opportunity for future career advancements within Atos Worldline.

Job Requirements

If you have a Bachelor or Master degree in

Information Technology, Engineering or related fields, communicate fluently in

English and Dutch or French and you are looking for a new challenge, this role

represents a real opportunity for you. Knowledge in the payment or banking

industry would be an additional asset.

-Experienced in incident/problem and change handling. ITIL process based

-Team player and very optimistic driven person

-Experience in electronic e-commerce – is an added value but not mandatory

-Languages : English or Dutch or French

-Participate in Standby which means that you will intervene outside office hours

-Well organized to guarantee a good follow-up of the production incidents/problems.

-Good communication skills. Written and Verbal.Seen the fact that the function requires very good reporting and communicative skills please consider this asMANDATORY AND REQUIRED.

-System DBA skills are an added value but not mandatory

-Html / Xml skills is an added value but not mandatory

-Strong reporting skills for meeting minutes / incident / problem reporting via Word / Excel
