We are looking for

Responsibilities and Key Activities:

  • Lead selected local supplier negotiations

  • Keep agreements/price lists updated and feed data into operational purchasing systems (e.g. SAP) following KW master data processes

  • Support sourcing manager and unit sourcing manager

  • Clarify business requirements for specific unit sourcing projects

  • Create and manage RFx for materials/services according to category or unit plans

  • Execute global, regional and local supplier agreements

  • Manage basic supplier issues and escalate to sourcing manager as needed

  • Update or trigger updating of relevant data in IT systems (SPD, cost models, KONE SRM)

  • Support other functions/roles in measuring and management of supplier/unit KPIs where needed

In addition, Sourcing Unit Specialist has the following tasks:

  • Support definition and ensure compliance to KONE policies, processes, procedures and tools especially in the field of Sourcing

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards

  • Plan, steer and develop supplier relationships on continuous basis

  • Act as central contact point towards the supplier

  • Maintain contract validity and manage re-negotiation as needed and in alignment with category and Sourcing strategy

  • Ensure contract information in KONE SRM is up-to-date

  • Follow-up supplier KPIs and support measurement where needed

  • Follow-up supplier related risks, define mitigation actions and monitor implementation

  • Arrange and conduct regular steering meetings with suppliers following standardized agenda

  • Manage savings actions with supplier

  • Manage and drive resolution of supplier issues and escalate if needed

  • Involve other functions in issue resolution and supplier development as needed

  • Steer/influence supplier segmentation within category

Additional tasks for ‘preferred suppliers’:

  • Ensure common mid-term plan (1-3 years) is in place with the supplier

  • Ensure supplier scorecard is in place and communicate supplier scorecard results to supplier as per scorecard schedule

  • Ensure supplier risk scorecard is in place, define and support definition of risk mitigation actions and ensure implementation of thes

Additional tasks for ‘strategic suppliers’:

  • Ensure common long-term plan (3-5 years) is in place with the supplier

  • Ensure supplier scorecard is in place and communicate supplier scorecard results to supplier as per scorecard schedule

  • Ensure supplier risk scorecard is in place, define and support definition of risk mitigation actions and ensure implementation of these

  • Ensure supplier is part of supplier excellence certification, drive supplier to maintain/fulfill excellence certification criteria

Skills, Education and Experience

  • Negotiation skills

  • Contracts management

  • Relationship management

  • Local supplier management

  • Technical understanding

  • Local supplier market understanding

  • Technical and/or commercial degree

  • Fluent level of French, Dutch and English

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Building and construction sourcing or equivalent
