Planning Demand

  • Improve forecast accuracy for all different product groups at horizon M1 - M24

  • Cleaning up data of last month to eliminate abnormal demand & supply for

  • Implement the new forecasting process incl. statistical tool

  • Run and improve statistical engine in OMP in order to increase the forecast accuracy

  • Develop, improve and track forecast accuracy measurement.

  • Setting the right commercial and sales parameters for the statistical engine on macro levels

  • Facilitation and organization of the demand forecasting process (content wise), including feedback loops of performance

  • Continuous improvement on the forecasting process

  • Challenge sales and commercial during sign-off sessions to get to the highest level of forecast accuracy

  • Looking for opportunities to deploy extrinsic forecasting

Communicating Demand

  • Advises and provides recommendations on the forecast to internal stakeholders (sales, supply chain, finance, …) with regard to the focrecast, forecast error and the impact of it.

  • Drive the organization across the different functions and stakeholders to prioritize the demand on an operational level when issues occur

Influencing demand / shaping demand

  • Participating as the demand owner/representative in the sales and operations planning process, to enable demand-supply balancing analysis by identifying opportunities for extra demand or by prioritizing existing demand.

  • Driving cross-functional collaboration to influence the demand and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based on business objectives and customer segmentation.

  • Reviewing and assessing risk to supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risk

  • Create, execute and follow-up on clear action plan for sales based on IBP results and opportunities

Prioritizing demand

  • Supporting the sales team in prioritizing demand based on customer segmentation, profitability, strategic importance and looking across product groups that are (grind) related



  • Secondary or higher education degree is required

  • University degree preferred


  • 5-7 years of experience in supply chain or sales environment
