As a Bioinformatics / Biostatistics specialist you will:

  • Build, test, and validate prototypes of new algorithms and analysis strategies.

  • Turn prototypes into clinical-grade software to deliver well-documented, future-proof, robust, and fully-tested software code that meets the standards of today‚Äôs industry-grade software engineering practices and those of Agilent Genomics' own quality standards defined by its Quality Management System.

  • Perform biostatistical research and analyses of NGS and SNP array data generated during product development.

  • Report on research results to the product development team and supervisor.

  • University degree related to statistics, mathematics, computer science, or bioinformatics.

  • Hands-on experience with implementing statistical methods for use in biomedical data analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with analysing biomedical data, and validating and interpreting the results.

  • Experience with data analysis tools and prototyping languages such as R and Python.

  • Familiarity with sequence analysis tools: sequence alignment, variant calling, etc.

  • You have an enthusiastic can-do mentality, and you are a dedicated team-worker and a clear communicator. Entrepreneurial attitude and creativity are important.
