Shire Master Data Analyst (replacement position) in Lessines (Baxalta), Belgium
Responsible for Master Data entry, accuracy, and integrity within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Areas of focus included: Item Master/Item Branch integrity, Bill of Material Structure and Maintenance. Ensuring Planning parameters are set, Data Integrity monitoring and revision as required. Development and maintenance of process (SOPs) for issuing, maintaining, and changing Master Data and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Provide and continuously improve ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) functionality in the area of Master Data and Production Planning. Responsible for the MRP-run, including standardized Forecast/MPS upload and planning schedule across the Branch plants. Responsible for reporting, analysis and support activities within the supply chain organization and across the business units.
Maintaining and Supporting Global Master Data standard. (5%)
Master Data Maintenance within Item Master and Item Branch plants. (15%)
Perform Item Master Set-up
Set up Branch Plant fields that shall be maintained for all Branch Plants.
Maintain Branch Plant specific fields that are required in addition to standardized set-ups.
Maintain control, maintenance and accuracy of Master Data items.
Ensure deactivation of obsolete raw materials.
Perform Item Branch Master Raw Material set up review.
Maintain Master Data accuracy/integrity measurement.
Bill of Material (BOM) structure. (30%)
Ensure entry of new BOM structure complies with standardize (where applicable) Branch Plant requirements.
Ensure control, maintenance and accuracy of active BOM’s and associated items used in manufacturing operations.
Ensure deactivation of obsolete BOM’s
Perform annual Item Branch Master BOM review for accuracy.
Define and standardize Branch Plant requirements for supporting MPS and MRP. (10%)
Establish clear data definition for the respective fields in the ERP system
Maintaining integrity of the MRP system and associated process.
Standardized Forecast/MPS upload and planning schedule across the Branch plants.
Ensuring execution of MRP Planning activities are aligned with facility and divisional goals relative to sales and inventory levels.
Assure compliant documentation of Master Data in regards of SOX/GMPs requirements. (5%)
Support the collection, analysis and reporting of key business metrics, as well as lead and/or support initiatives to improve performance Identify and lead continuous improvement projects within the Supply Chain department. (15%)
Supporting Supply Chain in their business with reports and analysis (e.g. Dispolist, Comparison actual issuing on work order vs BOM-quantity) (5%)
Supporting Controlling in their business with reports and analysis (e.g. rolling Forecast, Inventory Trend Report) (5%)
Work with Department Manager in the establishment and implementation of long term growth strategies and execution of tactical initiatives. (5%)
Provide leadership and support for Master Data Analyst and Master Data Specialist. (5%)
BS in Operations/Logistics or similar degree or 5 to 7 years related experience. ERP/MRP knowledge is required, 5 to 7 years of Supply Chain and Plant Operations experience
JDEdwards enterprise system knowledge, APICS certification (desired)
Good written and oral communications skills.
Strong knowledge/experience using project management methodology together with strong leadership qualities is essential.
Must possess a firm conceptual and practical understanding of supply chain operations, with emphasis on ERP Systems, Material Management, Bill of Materials, Inventory Controls and Product Flow.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Creativity is a must, as well as the ability to work well with and motivate others.
Computer skills and systems knowledge required including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
