Manage the retail and food service bottled oil business for Germany and selected eastern EU countries according to GEOS strategy, linking up with the internal functions for successful deployment of actions plans for products and service delivery.
This position will also play a key role in working with team-members across the organization to strengthen our customer approach and developing profitable solutions for our customers. The account manager is the main contact for our both local and multinational retail / food service customers. Goal is to be a trusted advisor, with knowledge of the retail sector, to our customers and take responsibility for all commercial matters, including supply chain optimization and contract agreements.
Strategy and market understanding. Business follow-up
Defines and deploy a strategy and budget for the market aligned with GEOS strategy and annual operating plan. Keeps accurate record of market &competition environment with appropriate tools (SF.com)
Identify and communicate value-creation opportunities. Frequent contact with Customer Service, Product Managers and fellow Sales Team . Link to Olive Oil production (Dcoop) and external stakeholders for implementing business development strategy.
Review and report frequently marketplace highlights, explore trends and changes in trade structure and consumer demand
Follows up and analyzes the financial data and the performance of the business
Manage German retail/ Food service, export and industry customers at a national/international level, targeting sales and marketing objectives defined for your area . Constantly in contact and follow up key customers. Is alert to identify opportunities and anticipates risks
Negotiates prices and framework contract. Follows up on sales and contract execution (from order to payment) . Manages sales contracts pipeline.
Proactively pursues new products/services/concepts to offer new value propositions, looking for adding value and differentiation from our competition. Implement Olive Oil growth strategy.
Collaborates with FSQR to ensure legal compliance of products and packaging meet local requirements
Follow up of contract execution and commercial relationship with VDM Deutschland (agency business)
Connects and collaborates with all functional areas and production sites to ensure the optimal fulfillment of commitment made to our customers
Sales administration duties (forecasts, IBP accuracy, overrun, overdue, monthly TGP, etc)
Review packaging designs and new developments with operations and supply chain
Review contractual issues and legal risks with GEOS legal team, holds accurate records
Follow up on supply chain optimization processes, proposes and implements new logistic solutions
Participation in projects, including innovative initiatives
University degree (economics, business administration, other similar)
At least 3 years of experience in retail sales, inside sales or in retail central buying and/or supply chain.
Skilled user of MS Office and software applications
German retail market knowledge, knowledge about Food Service market desirable
Fluent in German and English language
Solid background in Sales, Marketing, Sales Administration
Business development experience
Experience in working for a large organization, involving multi -sites and –countries contacts
