Kemin Industries IT Support Manager in Herentals, Belgium

Overview:

The principal purpose of this position is to provide technical support to Kemin regional IT user base that covers multiple countries, operating units and offices. This includes selection and installation of new technology, determining compatibility with existing software and hardware, some training of employees on the use of a computer and its software, help desk responsibilities (including remote users), maintenance of all system security, ERP server maintenance and operations, maintenance of all communications systems, including the telephony systems and lines.

In this capacity, the position must keep abreast of recent innovations in the vast world of technology. The role will keep the operating unit executive teams in the region up to date and the line of communication open, and ensure user satisfaction with the services the team provides. The position is also responsible for the recruiting/training/supervision of a staff of IT professionals and managing the IT support regional budget. The leadership of a regional support team and of Global projects is required.

The position will be based at Herentals, Belgium.

Furthermore, this position may be expected to make overseas business trips with short notice given.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to Kemin regional IT user base that covers multiple countries, operating units and offices

  • Managing IT support regional budget

  • Actively involved in decisions regarding the use of technology

  • Represents the interests of Kemin Industries in all decisions impacting the assigned region regarding technology

  • Charged with making all IT operational decisions (e.g. priorities IT requests, manages IT support expenses, etc.)

  • Handle administrative matters (e.g. staff leaves approval, benefits, trainings, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors(US) / Graduate(EU) Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree, equivalent experience will be considered

  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)

  • 7 - 9 years’ experience in an IT role

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience managing an IT support team

  • Knowledge of Networking

  • Knowledge of PC hardware and operating systems

  • Knowledge of business applications

  • ERP (Movex) and CRM experience is desirable but not essential

  • Manufacturing company experience is desirable but not essential

  • Fluent In English is mandatory; Dutch is preferred, but not mandatory.
