Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Group Trucks Operations . We are an organization of approximately 3,700 employees globally in more than 40 locations. Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the Service Market supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and JV’s. The scope for Service Market Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management, Distribution center Operations, customs and trade as well as the development of logistics solutions to ensure the highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality everywhere in the world. We operate the Central Distribution Center in Gent, the Support Distribution Centers across Europe, the Material Planning and Service Center Operations in Sweden and Belgium.
MAIN ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate, Implement, and support the communication plan in line with the Volvo Group/GTO Communication Plan.
•Deliver measurable management/employee cohesion through proactive and consistent stakeholder communication
•Provide communication coaching for managers and leaders.
•Identify local communication needs and source information/tools from global communication function, close collaboration with GTO Communication Network
•Establish and grow a strong local culture based on the Volvo Group Values in partnership with Gent HR colleagues
•Support management team in creating/sharing/enabling dialogue on local target image, performance and ‘glocal’ story
•Active content manager: building the Gent story for Volvo Group magazine, Violin, social media newsletter, …
•Communication follow-up: measurements
•Drive site adherence to all facets of Volvo Group brand and identity guidelines
•Deliver proactive partnerships and CSR initiatives through community relations from a site perspective
•On top of communications trends in the industry
University degree or 5-7 years of experience in communications
Experience from a multi-cultural business environment.
Experience in communications coaching and consulting
Fluent verbal and in writing, both Dutch and English
Experience with and understanding of Volvo Group Culture and Volvo Group Values
Ability to work with different audience types
Strong capacity in building networks
Holding strong personal credibility, integrity and creativity
Business knowledge and focus
