To strengthen our Sales & Marketing Organization, we are currently looking for a:

Sales Manager Diabetes Care Benelux

You will report to the Country Business Leader (CBL) Diabetes Care Benelux. The Sales Manager actively shapes local business strategy in alignment with regional and International strategy and takes the lead to align and implement tactical execution of the sales, marketing and operational plans, as well as directing the development of adequate tools and processes to accelerate and drive sales and income growth.

As a member of the Local DC business leadership team, the Sales Manager is a key stakeholder in the local decision making process.

Together with the Benelux Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the country specific approach to realize the Benelux strategy (development of, execution and follow up).

Main activities

Budget and forecast

  • Manages the strategy, in line with the European and Benelux strategy.

  • Develops together with management team an annual business plan to make sure the regional and targets are met or overachieved focusing on the pre-defined growth drivers and opportunities managed by her/his sales team

  • Is accountable for the successful implementation of the local annual business plan.

  • Drive and lead the business to achieve and exceed expectations

  • Makes sure the needed input is clear to update forecast on time and accurately

  • Makes sure reporting are done on time and accurately

  • Represents DC in BD wide (BDX) (business) meetings

Distribution

  • Define when needed the go to market and distribution strategy for the region and report into the CBL

  • Responsible for the assessment of performance of distributors and customers

People management

  • Provides leadership and coaches own organization with special focus on:

  • Recruiting, retaining and developing talented people

  • Constantly reviewing & upgrading knowledge, skills and engagement levels of teams.

  • Driving local teams to deliver results, improve skills, sales and marketing efficiency and ongoing change management

  • Ensures adequate and timely compliance with critical HR processes (PMP, HRP, etc…) and local legislation

  • Optimize the country structure and talent pool

  • Build the organization bench strength and create organization flow

  • Constantly seeks to improve personal skills and knowledge

Customer relationship

  • Develops appropriate understanding of local customer needs through ongoing interaction with key accounts and key customers

  • Maintains contacts with key decision makers in the purchasing groups (e.g. ‘Zorggroepen’)

  • Manages contacts with governmental institutions

  • Build relationship with key stakeholders such as KOL’s, payers (‘zorgverzekeraars’) and main Dutch diabetes patient and trade associations, so as to pro-actively sense the trends in the healthcare environment and position the BD solutions.

  • Identifies and develops new local business opportunities to accelerate and sustain ongoing sales growth

Profile

  • Significant depth and breadth of Benelux Diabetes business knowledge and experience including legal and regulatory, in the Netherlands

  • Has a knowledge of the Belgian situation

  • Ability to deal and established network with high level opinion leaders (Zorgverzekeraars, purchaser mailorder & groothandelaren)

  • Established track record to successfully lead sales and marketing organizations

  • Dutch / English / preferable French language

  • Line of sight Benelux

  • Computer savvy

  • Natural hands-on team leader and influencer

  • Experience in building teams, trust and collaboration

  • Drive for results

  • Process oriented

  • Sales Forecast accuracy

  • Experience with leadership/change management

  • Travel outside Benelux 10%
