What You'll Do

As TAC Customer Support Engineer you will work on complex and in depth networking problems requiring strong analytical, problem solving, engineering, and communication skills. You will be responsible for driving successful resolution of technical issues reported by customers and thinking on innovative ways to avoid issues in the future.

The problem resolution path involves in-depth research on technical topics, reproduction of customer's environments and issues using TAC lab equipment comprising all Cisco products, technical exchange and discussions with product development and engineering teams, interaction with Cisco Technical Leaders and, very importantly, strong communications skills in order to interface effectively with Customers and internal stakeholders.

You will represent Cisco every day in every cases always thinking in the best interest of our Customers.

You will also detect potential design issue in the customer network in order to provide best practices and suggestions for customers to implement their solutions in the most efficient way.

Who You Are

You Ready to use your analytic skills to troubleshoot sp edge devices and topologies

Our requirements:

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the different OSI layers mostly L1-L2-L3-L4

• Knowledge in protocols like TCP, UDP, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, PPP, PPPoE, L2TP, RADIUS is highly desired but not mandatory.

• Experience in Service Provider network environments is also desired, preferibly with the network Edge and Aggregation layers is highly desired (more specific with Cable/DOCSIS, Service Provider WiFi, Broadband Network Gateway)

• Strong knowledge in IOS, IOS-XE and IOS-XR CLI

• You are familiar with Linux/UNIX.

• You are not scare of learning new technologies

• You are a team player.
