GMED Healthcare BVBA is the European Trading and Distribution Company for all goods of the Medical Devices (MD) sector of J&J, managing a network of Distribution Centers and the related in and outgoing material flows. As part of the MD Global Supply Chain, it is a central entity that owns all goods and manages financial flows related to European distribution for MD EMEA (and affiliate deliveries from Europe to rest of world). The GMED Finance Team is transitioning into a best in class end-to-end Supply Chain FP&A Center of Excellence.

The Senior Finance Analyst – Reporting & Planning will directly report to the Finance Manager, Accounting-Reporting-Compliance and provide finance and analytical support to the GMED finance team. This position implies the opportunity to work with senior management within finance and with cross-functional business partners in Supply Chain, Customer Service, Regional Finance, IT, and Project Management.

Your Responsibilities as Senior Finance Analyst - Reporting & Planning include:

  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation in a global and virtual environment.

  • Ensure seamless monthly closing in close collaboration with Shared Service Center, Customer Services and Supply Chain Management and by taking appropriate and timely actions where needed.

  • Systematically analyze trends and deviations in collaboration with Regional Finance and GMED Finance Management.

  • Ensure transparency of GMED's financial results by regularly updating dashboard and reporting to stakeholders.

  • Support Budget and Updates preparation.

  • Develop short/mid/long-term strategic scenarios that support strategic planning in GMED

  • Perform complex business analysis and provide business insight to the GMED Finance Management in order to support decision making.

  • Document analyses, controls and reports in accordance with J&J policies and procedures.

  • Actively support continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and speed of above processes.

  • Be an active and constructive member of the GMED Finance Team.

  • Supervision and mentoring of 1 analyst

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Audit, ... or equivalent

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance/accounting is required

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, peers and customers and to establish internal / external connections

  • Very flexible and adaptable with a good general business understanding

  • Passionate, dynamic and goal orientated, demonstrating consistently result driven high standards

  • Proficiently changes and evolves own learning with agile readiness for a changing environment

  • Ability to multi-task and work with deadlines, inspire and motivate teams

  • PC literate, specifically strong MS Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical (numeric & strategic) skills with the ability to convert date into relevant information.
