Within Business Decision Support team, the European Financial Analyst support the monthly and quarterly financial consolidation and reporting process for our IG business in Europe (Sales $1.6Billion).
He/she provides operational and commercial analysis, business decision support and financial planning for the European Industrial Gases business
In performing this role, the incumbent supports continuously our European management teams and will work closely with Consolidation Manager and European Controller, as well as regional controllers and Sub Region Management teams.
The position will appeal to an high profile candidate with Finance experience, looking for a broad and varied role, with the opportunity to work in an evolving environment, interacting with senior and experienced people, plus the chance to add value to our European business.
Support Consolidation and Analysis of monthly results from sales to Operating Income, as well as monitoring Productivity performance, headcount and capital expenditures.
Support the preparation of the monthly and quarterly Business Area Reviews.
Provide support to specific European Projects or central Functions (Distribution standards, portfolio management, energy)
Consolidate annual budgets, quarterly snapshots and monthly forecasts.
Support pro-actively the European Industrial gases management teams with investment, cost, productivity and profitability analyses on an ad hoc basis.
Support specific projects for Sub Regions. He/she will interact with business teams to drive business and supply chain performance. In the SR support role, he/she will work on Supply chain projects, strategies development, sourcing/swap analyses, network optimisation..
University degree in economics, business or engineering (MBA is a plus).
Experience in financial analysis and management accounting & reporting
Demonstrated analytical and accounting skills, combined with good SAP and BW system skills.
Fluency in English. A relevant second language (Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Polish) is a plus.
Strong business orientation.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Internationally minded, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Sound computer proficiency and comfortable with reporting and consolidation package
Able to identify trends and issues and challenge in a constructive way
