GE announced they signed a definitive agreement to sell the Water & Process Technologies business to SUEZ, a services and solutions company with global operations primarily in water and waste management. The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. This includes hiring strong talent to help the business grow and be successful. GE is targeting to complete the sale of the business by mid-2017.

Role Summary:

The manufacturing quality leader reports to the service center leader and is responsible for QMS compliance/Execution Quality, including trending of metrics to identify robust CAPA and CI projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy quality priorities across the SC in line with the SC priorities and the GRS Europe quality priorities

  • Develop, deploy and monitor metrics jointly with SC leader to recognize common patterns and drive respective improvements

  • Tie up closely with project execution team and set up risk management plans on high risk projects in upfront phase

  • Drive actively the development and implementation of the local quality culture plan to enhance desired behaviors

  • Lead, develop, coach factory staff on key competencies acc. to the needs

  • Ownership for internal NCA/RCA & CAPA plan development & implementation

  • Maintain Quality modules in use in co-ordination with team members

  • Liaise effectively with operational teams and with partnering functions out of the center for implementation of improvement actions resulting from quality plans and customer feedback through continuous improvement

  • Overall responsibility for Internal Audit execution, for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements as per the Internal Audit Plan

  • Calibration gatekeeper for all Measurement Tools & Equipment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support customer meetings when required

  • Support Q-framework, QMS and ISO audits as required

  • Coordinate all Cell Quality Review meetings

  • Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures

  • Work with CI team to drive sustainable process changes

  • Support RCA's & CAPA plans for external defects


  • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or suitable practical experience

  • Proven expertise in customer resolution & preventive tools, ISO knowledge

  • Change management skills and cross-functional mindset:

• Inclusive leadership & communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to self-direct within defined responsibilities, proactive attitude

• Knowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods

• Must be a team player willing to sacrifice individual goals when needed

  • Has advanced languages skills in both English and French, any other European language is is an advantage

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment is desirable

  • Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Experience of dealing with customers

  • Knowledge of RCA and CAPA tools
