Teradata Junior Consultant in Brussels, Belgium
The primary responsibility of a Consultant I is the delivery of innovative industry and horizontal solutions to our clients. The Consultant I participates in proposing, designing, and implementing solutions that address the relevant people, process, information, and technology needs. The Consultant I is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling personal work effort, coordinating with other resources, and effectively negotiating with and leveraging peer and client personnel to accomplish tasks. The Consultant I develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and peers, demonstrates professionalism and gains respect client respect. The Consultant I is responsible for incorporating appropriate client culture and values in interpersonal contact and decision making and for helping others understand the client culture and values. The Consultant I is also responsible for learning about Teradata’s business, our clients’ businesses, and for participating in professional development activities to build knowledge capital. This includes demonstrating how individual activities relate to the strategic vision of both the client and Teradata and positioning additional services by raising awareness of new opportunities to the customer.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Integrates established disciplinary knowledge, within personal specialty area, with basic understanding of related disciplines and industry practices.
Employs professional services tools and processes without direction; Designs and implements available products and solutions with minimal direction.
Understands the business Teradata is in and our market proposition.
Analyzes and understands the client’s business at a functional or technical level. Builds relationships with client IT.
Understands and reinforces account plan initiatives within scope of assignment;
Applies professional judgment based on the analysis of relevant input.
Manages and escalates dependencies and risks with respect to work assignment; Identifies scope changes.
Performs work on-time, within scope, and with high customer satisfaction; Provides status of work tasks.
Actively perform knowledge capture and asset reuse; Participates in knowledge transfer activities; Recommends practice improvements based on lessons learned;
Accepts responsibility for planning and undertaking personal professional development; Pursues Teradata and external certification in field of expertise.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree required
1-2 years of related experience
