QuintilesIMS is leading the development of a new business service, the foundation for which is a pan-European infrastructure to collect, aggregate and report on pharmaceutical product use at a patient level. Partnering with healthcare data providers this new Real-World Insights (RWI) initiative will bring develop access, aggregate and codify patient-level data sources across multiple global geographies and create a solution that will allow for enhanced strategic decision making across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
• RWI develops strategic business cases for investment in acquisitions/organic business growth
• Creates strategic thought leadership
• Supports complex business development options taking a leadership role around RWI
• Runs complex new engagement types with clients – supporting to get most value of high cost investments in RWI data, assets and capabilities

This pan-European initiative is gathering momentum and now requires a dedicated Country Operations Manager positioned within each market who will report to the Country Programme Manager in managing the day-to-day execution of tasks in support of the establishment of the initiative in that market. The Country Operations Manager will lead the execution of tasks critical to the country-specific implementation approach as developed by the Country Programme Manager with the guidance of the RWI Central team. It is envisioned that each country will have a small dedicated team to adapt the overarching European strategy to the specifics of the market: customization to healthcare setting; adaptation to specialty care environment, centre enrollment, deployment planning, IT/EMR engagement, project and contract management. The Country Operations Manager will lead the execution of specific projects and workstreams within the programme per the Country Programme Manager’s plan against time, cost and quality benchmarks. As such it is a high profile role of strategic importance.
Management of the day-to-day tasks to implement the in-country programme across each of the phases (e.g. Development, Pilot and Deployment), this will include:
Management of the delivery of work to adapt the overall European strategy for the specifics of the country market, ensuring country specificities are understood and adaptations made, per the country-level project plan as directed by the initiative Country Programme Manager
Tracking progress on country-specific workstreams and providing updates to initiative leadership and client consortium members
Responsibility for conducting in-country programme governance and complying with central governance requirements
Provide line management and local leadership for junior members of the in-country initiative team
Provide leadership and direction for the in-country functional and project teams Experience and skills
BS/BA required, advanced degree preferred, ideally in a discipline relevant to the Life Sciences industry.
Strong commercial experience in the Life Sciences arena with focus on project management, data, analytics or consulting.
First-hand experience of the hospital sector and/or specialty care environment in-country
Must have strong ability to influence decision makers
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects or programs; relevant project management certifications such as PMP are a plus
Experience leading execution of complex programs that include technology implementation components is a strong plus.
Excellent oral presentation and writing skills
Must be capable of leading with a sense of urgency, and be able to work both independently and within a team environment
Must have had exposure to fast moving and highly pressurised environments with frequent exposure to senior stakeholders. Must be calm and focussed when dealing with complex or rapidly changing priorities.
Exposure to patient-level outcomes data, implementation of technology solutions with particular emphasis on hospitals, commercial organizations within healthcare, services experience with technology solutions/advisory; some familiarity with oncology would be an advantage
Language skills both written and spoken in Flemish, French and English.
