The job as Automation Engineer is a great opportunity to develop your professional career in the EHS, Engineering & Maintenance department of our manufacturing Plant.
You will be responsible for the wide range of Automation Equipment within the SD & Plastics departments. Furthermore, you will drive machine safety, quality and performance improvements within the known GMP/quality framework by intervening on equipment PLC, HMI, drives etc. to minimize risk and downtime, by monitoring, maintaining and controlling supervision systems, by supporting production and maintenance technicians to resolve complex issues with link to programming of the equipment, by improving automated systems in order to increase safety, quality and performance and finally by participating in projects to ensure and improve stable equipment performance.
Support production and maintenance to resolve issues.
Understand mechanical, PLC & HMI controls / programming, SCADA systems, Vision control, low-voltage controls, pneumatic and IT systems.
Effectively identifying and proactively resolving complex technical issues linked to automated systems by direct intervention and correction promptly, but must be thorough, accurate and persevering rather than expedient.
Identify root causes for problems and propose solutions to prevent recurring problems.
Proactively identify opportunities for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes, covering key business indicators (OEE, …), defect levels, production and conversion loss objectives, quality reviews, validation preventive and predictive maintenance.
Understand CP, CPK, SPC processes and to use this data when analyzing issues.
Participate to the “on duty call” service in place (out-of-hours call-out service).
Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements
- Who you are*
Industrial Engineer in Automation or a related field with minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (Bachelor’s degree with additional experience will be considered).
Good knowledge in PLC &HMI programming, essentially for Siemens (S5-S7) and Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platform.
Knowledge in SCADA and Manufacturing Software Packages from Wonderware and Rockwell Automation.
Vision Control system (Cognex, Keyence, …) and/or Product Serialization knowledge is a plus.
Industrial IT (SQL, Reporting Services, VBA scripting…) knowledge is a plus.
Good analysis skills and respect for procedures and rules by nature.
Autonomous and able to take initiatives
Flexibility and good team spirit
Fluent in French and able to properly communicate (written/spoken) in English
