There is an exciting opportunity within the EMEIA Tax Centre Tax Performance Advisory team (ETC TPA) for a Senior Manager to help grow the business across the EMEIA region. The role will incorporate helping to develop an exciting area of Tax technology within EY & helping to deliver important services to our clients.
EY’s ETC TPA practice assists our clients to develop world class tax functions by assisting companies improve end to end business processes that drive tax performance. TPA works with an extensive range of clients, across EMEIA including many of the FTSE100 and the major Fortune 500 and our clients recognize our unique value to ‘Explore the possible’ and assist them to enable the change.
TPA offers a range of services at both a strategic and operational level to support the Tax and Finance director under the themes of:
Tax function diagnostic assessment and benchmarking
Aligning Tax and broader organisation strategy,
Tax strategy development and roll out
Development, redesign and implementation of the tax operating model and metric measurement
Review, design and embed effective tax control framework and processes across the end to end supply chain
Drive efficiencies through automation and enablement of technology for the Tax and Finance function
Embedding and sustaining tax data quality standards in financial system to enhance tax processes, operations and effectiveness
Enhancing tax governance and control through content management solutions, workflow technologies and document management
Drive and embed performance improvement for the global tax function
Develop business plan with goals, build and deployment strategy and “closed-loop” performance measurements
Drive the Global build activities to provide the practice with high-impact Global Compliance and Reporting and Tax Performance Advisory blueprint materials that are topical, relevant and timely (e.g. single-folds, client meeting decks, facilitated client session (FCS) materials ,thought leadership, diagnostics, internal user guides and blueprints)
Drive the coordination of relevant workshops to develop integrated service line materials
Support the engagement of global markets and infrastructure resources (Communications, Knowledge, Enablement Center, etc.)
Driving deployment of materials across the EMEIA and Global network
Skills and experience:
To qualify, candidates should:
Preferably be ACA/CTA or other local equivalent qualifications
Have experience in the development and/or implementation of tax technology solutions
Experience or a keen interest in in Finance or Tax performance improvement
Interested in specialising in the configuration of tax technology
Interested in understanding and developing knowledge of ERP software (SAP, Oracle,…)
Build and maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to winning new clients
High level management of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical / business driven approach taken
Finance or tax performance improvement
Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
Significant involvement in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments
Have experience in the profession and be interested in specialising in one or more of the following areas:
Tax compliance and reporting
Accounting and finance
Development and/or implementation of tax technology
Finance or tax performance improvement
